The Regenerative Architecture Index, developed by UK Architects State and Architecture Today and in partnership with Schüco, acknowledges practices and built environment organisations working to move beyond minimizing damage and towards developing positive results for individuals, places and the natural world.
Each organisation has submitted in-depth actions throughout the RAI’s three evaluation styles: Being a good forefather, Co-evolving with nature, and Developing a simply area for individuals.

The next phase of the Regenerative Architecture Index will be exposed at the RAI 2026 Launch Celebration on Thursday 1 October at the Structure Centre in London, where this year’s front-runners will be announced.
The event will likewise mark the opening of Regenerative Style 2026, a month-long exhibit and events programme running throughout October at the Building Centre. Showcasing projects, concepts and methods from RAI member organisations, the exhibit will supply the first physical home for the Regenerative Architecture Index and provide visitors an opportunity to explore how regenerative thinking is being translated into practice throughout the developed environment.
The Regenerative Architecture Index is likewise enabled by the kindness, expertise and dedication of its independent assessors. Drawn from leading architectural practices and organisations across the UK, they volunteered their time to evaluate submissions, supply constructive analysis and assistance ensure a robust and transparent assessment procedure.
