be carried by a single person and put together on site. Large daybeds,
inspired by the woven beds commonly found on building and construction websites and within unfinished buildings in West Africa, offer shade, filtered views, and spaces for sitting or resting to foster interaction amongst farmers, caretakers, and museum visitors. It utilizes steel profiles and construction methods familiar from roadside kiosks and signboard structures, integrated with salvaged signboard material cut into strips and woven onto the frames. Individual frames are aggregated to form bigger canopy and seating components, enabling the system to adapt to various websites and setups.
