Home on the Edge of the Plain reinterprets the structure typology as a modern residence grounded in openness, flexibility, and landscape combination. Located in Murska Sobota, the task responds to both stringent planning restraints and local architectural traditions, embracing low horizontal percentages, generous glazing, and a strong indoor-outdoor relationship. The spatial company is defined by three strengthened concrete cores that combine services and structure, allowing the staying interior to remain fluid and adaptable. Distinct orientations differentiate living and private zones, each engaging with separate garden conditions. Product expression is rooted in exposed concrete cast with local aggregates, complemented by restrained interior elements that stress toughness and simpleness. Strategic design gestures, such as a glazed corner and a retractable breathtaking window, dissolve spatial borders and extend domestic life into the surrounding landscape. Your house prioritizes lived experience, seasonal change, and tactile materiality over official phenomenon, providing a subtle yet intentional architectural reaction to its context.
The task positions itself as an intentional counterpoint to rural domestic conventions, privileging spatial connection and experiential richness over compositional display screen. Instead of asserting itself as an object within the landscape, the house operates as a calibrated framework that moderates in between domestic life and the expansive plain. Its architectural language is understated, yet it exposes an accurate settlement in between regulatory restraints and a desire for openness, leading to a developed form that appears both restrained and silently expansive.
At the core of the design lies a structural and organizational method that combines complexity into three reinforced concrete volumes. These cores accommodate necessary functions, consisting of kitchen area, bathroom, and energy spaces, while simultaneously supporting the roofing piece. This method frees the surrounding strategy, allowing a constant, versatile living environment that can move according to day-to-day routines and seasonal patterns. This duality is further enhanced by architectural information that liquify enclosure, consisting of a structurally recessed glazed corner and a moving breathtaking opening that totally pulls back into the
