Text description provided by the designers. The Pechbonnieu school complex was originally meant to be the rehabilitation and extension of an existing schooling center. However, an in-depth analysis of the social cost of carbon, conducted throughout the competitors stage, led the job group to propose a completely brand-new construction while staying within budget. The existing school building lacked the capacity for sustainable change; its demolition would free up land and allow for a reimagined urban future. The development of the school on the site allows more comprehensive development situations for the town, while the marriage of main and nursery levels provides the opportunity for children to grow and learn together from an early age.
