Ask you and you will get. The deadline for the 2026 Best of Practice Awards has been extended up until this Friday, April 17. Submissions should be completed by midnight (ET) on Friday, as this is the final due date.

The countdown is on, but there’s still time to get submission products all set. The application needs a written declaration (500 words maximum), up to 10 images or diagrams, and an optional client review.

Best of Practice celebrates firms in the AEC industry holistically. In other words, the program surveys business not just based upon style excellence, but likewise the methods a company leverages its work for social, environmental, and worker impact.

Any business based in North America is eligible to go into. This extends to more than designers, covering specialists, designers, interior designers, producers, lighting designers, landscape architects, sustainability experts, and more. Categories are evaluated regionally and by size.

An excellent jury will examine and evaluate submissions. This year’s jury consists of: Gerdo Aquino, co-CEO and principal of SWA; Phillip Bernstein, Deputy Dean and Teacher in the Practice at Yale School of Architecture; Hervé Descottes, principal and creator of L’Observatoire International; Elizabeth Lowrey, principal of Elkus Manfredi Architects; Thomas Robinson, founding principal of LEVER Architecture; Melissa Wong, principal of Thornton Tomasetti; Isabel Ling, handling editor of The Architect’s Paper; and Jack Murphy, editorial director of The Architect’s Newspaper.
