Photo: John Lamparski/Getty Images Chris Christie, the former governor of New Jersey, failed presidential candidate, and existing male about numerous political talk programs, appears to have purchased a house on Irving Place. According to city records filed last week, Christie and his partner, Mary Pat, paid $1,500,000 for the two-bedroom co-op at 61 Irving Place. Christie, who was just recently seen complaining about the current mayor and his snow-removal efforts, seems to be undeterred by the city all the very same.

The house is nicely situated but a bit frozen in time with existing listing images showing wall-to-wall brown carpets, white-marbled restrooms, and a painting of beach palm trees awaiting the living room. The home overlooks East 18th Street, and the listing declares the area is “an exceptional setting for elegant amusing or peaceful enjoyment.” The home is just a block from Caffè Panna, so watch out, influencers.
