Rehabilitation of the Agricultural Cooperative for a Multipurpose and Cultural Area in Flix changes part of a historic farming cooperative complex into a cultural center formed by conservation, material connection, and environmental responsibility. Camps Felip Arquitecturia protects the typological structure of the nave while adapting it for modern multipurpose use. A ceramic interior finish unifies the open area and enhances thermal and acoustic efficiency, supporting the practical requirements of a public cultural place. The project uses handcrafted ceramic brick, strengthening regional building traditions and supporting the regional economy through locally sourced products. Reuse plays a main function in the intervention, allowing existing aspects to stay part of the building’s renewed life while decreasing unnecessary waste. Effective systems further lower energy consumption, and the long-lasting ceramic material contributes to lowered ecological effect through toughness, insulation, and the capacity for reuse.
