Seeing Our Home’s hand-carved heart shutters and photo windows, “I needed to have it,” says house owner Carole Lutz. “My other half, Breck, couldn’t think it. He resembled, ‘You wish to live in your grandma’s home?’ It needed some work, but I had an overwhelming feeling of This is where I’m implied to be.”
This relaxing nook off the living room is a brand-new addition to the home. The 1880s French vintner’s table is surrounded by a Sika Style chair with a ticking stripe cushion and a bench with a Holland & Sherry fabric. The pendant is classic Angelo Lelli for Arredoluce.
One of the couple’s two children found Heidi Caillier– the San Francisco– based AD100 designer behind Kendall Jenner’s Wyoming mountain home and of viral Lulu & Georgia collection fame– on Instagram, naturally. Call it kismet: If anyone can make grandma-style elegant, it’s Caillier, for whom your home had a likewise bewitching result. “It’s a big offer to get among these homes in Carmel,” she states. “I had a truly clear vision right now when I walked in. The home already had so much beauty, so we welcomed that– but not in such a way that leaned too sweet.”
