When every shortlisted prospect at the 2026 Barkitecture had the most standout and lavish kennel designs, Six Dot Design believed the opposite. For the event, the London-based furnishings and homeware style studio created an odd, alien-looking, space-themed pet dog kennel, which does not make its presence understood in space; it blends in with the heavenly bodies.
Dubbed A Canine in Disguise, it is developed to protect and disguise Alfie, the Earth-dog, as he travels into space and discovers a brand-new planet to arrive on, surrounded by strange bodies. When Alfie touches down on an alien planet, he’s going to beware of a strange and unidentified environment, filled with friendly and unfriendly creatures. The pet will be even more vulnerable when sleeping. The last thing Alfie desires is to stand out as an Earth-dog amongst its alien equivalents.
Considering all the possibilities of being ferreted out by otherworldly beings, the studio developed a canine kennel to change Alfie into an alien-dog with an outstanding vessel. This pod functions as a hideout that secures him from its alien buddies by camouflaging him as one of them. The vessel can be opened and closed for resting or masquerading as an alien.
The piece is handcrafted in 6 Dot’s East London workshop using standard metal shaping methods. Inside, the kennel is lined with a padded leather bed with leather trim for the dog to rest comfortably throughout its area voyage. The landing legs bring stability to the pod as it arrive at low-gravity worlds.

The studio is understood for its meaningful kinds, using raw materials, and visible flaws. This pet dog kennel embodies the approach of self-expression, including a captivating sculptural shell, metal-shaped case on the outside, and plush bed linen on the within.
A Pet dog in Disguise is an unique cosmic kennel with alien-based camouflage, supplying a safe and cave-like enclosure for the pooch.
