Hi everyone,
For context, I’m building a one story 1000sf house in Quebec, Canada (piece on grade with frost protected structure walls).
I’m preparing to utilize BC fir slabs for all interior walls and ceiling (except for tiled walls in the bathroom). I have actually connect a picture of what I have in mind (although with slabs less wide, probably 4 to 6 ″)

My exterior wall assembly is (from the outside):
– Vertical cedar as outside siding
– Horizontal 1 × 3 furring
– Vertical 1 × 3 furring
– Fiber board outside insulation
– WRB
– 3/4 Plywood, taped as 2nd AB
– 2 × 6 walls with bath rockwool insulation
– Intello membrane as VB and AB
– 1x or 2x horizontal furring
– vertical BC fir as interior siding

I was wondering what would be a great wall assembly for the interior walls though. I was believing
– vertical BC fir
– 1x horizontal furring
– 2 × 4 walls with rockwool for sound
– 1x horizontal furring
– vertical BC fir

My questions are the following for the interior walls:1) Should I utilize plywood instead of (or in addition to) the horizontal furring?
2) Does that assembly make sense?
3) I’m trying not to use any drywall in the whole home. Although it seems rather unusual in US/Canada, is it still workable?

You can likewise talk about my exterior wall assembly if you believe there’s something that I’m missing out on!

Thank you in avance
Robin
