Found in the historic district of Washington, DC, the Porter House is a sensational 6,500 square foot modern home that flawlessly blends contemporary design with its standard community. The home boasts a smooth and sophisticated design, showcasing the ideal blend of beauty and functionality. With an overall website size of 5,810 square feet, the Porter Home provides sufficient space for locals to delight in the very best of urban living. Finished in 2018, this four-level home features a distinct and innovative design, with a concentrate on comfort, sustainability, and innovative technology. While plainly contemporary, thew new home sits lightly within its traditional context, through thoroughly created percentages, massing, and attentively picked outside materials.
The terracotta colored cement board siding matches the surrounding red brick context, while the percentages and basic massing of the building imitate those of neighboring homes. The job was all approved by the Washington DC Historic Preservation Society.
