High-end is a study in balance, knowing when to lean into grandeur and when to pull back.At Palm, a personal Beverly Hills house, Daniel Joseph Chenin, FAIA develops an interior that moves flawlessly in between dynamic social gatherings and peaceful moments of retreat, blending structure with fluidity and elegance with heat.

A stone-clad fireplace anchors the area, balanced out by an acrylic-on-canvas painting by Jeff Peters. A custom back bar, as soon as a standalone function, is now a deliberate architectural component, flawlessly incorporated into the design. Sculptural furnishings, swivel easy chair by Axis Furniture, customized sofas by Bright Chair Company, and Jean De Merry coffee tables, introduce a balanced interplay between softness and structure. A Scott Group rug enhances this dialogue, its subtle grid pattern echoing the surrounding elements.
Beyond, the dining areas unfold with a material-driven narrative. A round Randolph & Hein table, paired with Minotti Fil Noir chairs, offers an intimate yet refined setting, while the formal dining-room makes a bolder statement. A significant wood table, framed by Minotti Mills chairs in chartreuse velvet, is grounded by a customized bronze foot rail. Above, the Luna Kaleido Chandelier by Gabriel Scott injects a sculptural component, interrupting formality with fluid sophistication.

A carefully composed combination of deep colors, layered textures, and dramatic lighting sets the tone. A custom-made stone-patterned rug echoes the veining of the backlit onyx wall panels, while luxurious seating from Allan Knight, Linteloo, Una Malan, and José Martinez Medina produces a richly layered environment. Low, sculptural tables in stone, wood, and metal stress the area, stabilizing function with artistry.

Unlike the structured, in proportion entertaining spaces above, this level welcomes asymmetry, cultivating a more relaxed,

The primary suite is a research study in serene materiality– upholstered wall accents, a Holly Hunt bed, and a black stone fireplace establish a tranquil setting. A painting by Francois Bonnel, with its soft curves and tonal shifts, boosts the retreat-like quality of the area, enhancing the home’s balance in between improvement and ease.
