Constant Present is a tribute that arises from the close bond that the 2 cultural organizations preserved with Andrea Branzi: on one side there was his collaboration with Triennale Milano as a designer, theoretician and curator, that took shape in numerous efforts carried out from 1968 till 2022; on the other was the reflections that led him to develop the two environments initially presented in the Open Enclosures exhibition, staged at the Fondation Cartier in 2008, and since then belonging to its collection, an unique example of porousness in between landscape, architecture, art and design.Andrea Branzi– Modello di urbanizzazione umida, Expo di Saragoza,

Courtesy Collezione privata Conceived by Toyo Ito, in collaboration with Lorenza Branzi and Nicoletta Morozzi, and curated by Nina Bassoli, manager for architecture, city regeneration and cities at Triennale, and Michela Alessandrini, manager at Fondation Cartier, the exhibition is a biographical travel plan– from Branzi’s very first extreme experimentations in Florence with Archizoom Associati, through his experiences with Alchimia and Memphis, up to the advancement of an anthropological method to style– highlighting Branzi’s continuous research study into the subjects of fragility, hybridization, coexistence, ecology, and the cross-fertilization between disciplines.Toyo Ito shapes the exhibition design as “the unceasing circulation”, based upon the concept of a fluid schedule that can highlight how the pieces provided in the exhibition and Andrea Branzi’s philosophy exist neither in the previous nor in the future, but in a”constant present “. It offers the general public the experience of a living and evolving practice, within an area by”circulation and eddies”. The exhibit opens and closes with 2 selfportraits, and consists of a big site-specific installation committed to No-Stop City( 1969– 72 ), the fundamental task that took shape Branzi’s concept of”the writing of territory”and represents a radical critique of the modern-day metropolitan area; there is also a journey through the various subsequent experiments in architectural, landscape, and urban style, culminating in a series of display screen screens committed to theoretical metropolises.Andrea Branzi By Toyo Ito. Continuous Present: pictures: Andrea Rossetti © Triennale Milano The exhibit travel plan is set out in a thematic archipelago made up of 11 areas, in a fluid space that fosters natural, mutable and nonstop restored similarities in between the works. The exhibit course leads through the reproduction of Superarchitettura (Superarchitecture)– the very first exhibit of Archizoom in 1966– and the very first furniture and style varieties, with a special in-depth exploration devoted to No-Stop City; it continues through a broad choice of area tasks in Metropoli teoriche (Theoretical cities), and the experimentations with materials performed during the 1970s, combined in Decorattivo (Decoractive).
