Atelier has supplied a ₤ 16 million advancement finance loan to fund the repair of a 150-bed purpose-built trainee accommodation plan in Cambridge, marking the lending institution’s ninth deal with developer Rengen.

The 20-month loan will fund the conversion of a first-generation trainee accommodation block into modernised centers featuring 150 en-suite bed rooms, study areas, a citizens’ lounge and a movie theater room.

Phased delivery timeline

Completion is arranged in two phases, with 50 beds targeted for profession ahead of the 2026/27 academic year and the remaining 100 beds due for completion in January 2027. The plan is placed to serve students at both the University of Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin University.

Avi Miller, credit director at Atelier, said the deal reflected the relationship developed with Rengen over several years. “Their expert knowledge in repositioning first-generation PBSA possessions, combined with a proven track record of effective delivery, offered us terrific confidence in this chance,” Miller stated.
