As a sought-after designer and stylist, he develops environments with unique poise– demonstrated most just recently by his work in AD‘s April issue starring Athena Calderone. No complete stranger to brand cooperations, his previous credits consist of tasks with home merchants like West Elm, Beni Rugs, Cultiver, and more. Now, King’s latest venture, a decor-focused collection with Zara Home, lets you imbue your own space with his thought about interiors philosophy. “Zara Home and I approach design in a really similar method,” King told AD. “We wanted [the collection] to feel thoughtful and stunning, but also very approachable.”

With a collection arguably years in the making, King has actually been a quiet partner of the brand name considering that 2019, lending his recognizable styling expertise to a number of Zara Home campaigns. Transitioning from behind the scenes to spotlight, the partnership was the ideal opportunity for King to design from the heart. “It feels very susceptible to develop a things from nothing,” he states. “A great deal of these pieces filled a void in what I wanted to be working with on set and in my own home.”
The line is a practice in thoughtful restraint: Milky glass vessels of varying size are the ideal buddies to more substantial onyx bowls, and vases are reimagined in lacquered wood and combinations of rainbowlike matte glass. Then, obviously, there’s the pièce de résistance: a brass egg light (and the designer’s favorite piece from the collection).
