Texas-based 3D-printed construction and architecture leader ICON announced the commercial rollout of brand-new machines, referred to as a “multi-story robotic building and construction system.” The Titan is designed to develop at “lower expense and with greater speed and quality.” Contractors and building business can schedule a device with a deposit of $5,000 and buy one for a lean $899,000.

Given that ICON’s 2018 debut, the novel printing technology has actually seen major contracts with US Army and Martian application advancement with NASA. However, their goals with Titan seem to be much more significant, and its deployment democratized. CEO Jason Ballard stated in a statement on the release of the maker, “After almost a decade of research study, development, and field operations, we believe it’s time to put these technologies directly into the hands of other builders.”
