Apple’s items have always had to do with finding joy: delight in the creative procedure, pleasure in the user experience, and– of course– pleasure in the neighborhood, regardless of technical proficiency. A typesetter by trade, my mother brought our first Apple Macintosh computer– I’m dating myself with that recommendation– into our home in the early 1990s. When I think of tech-enabled delight in my life time, a few minutes come to mind: discovering graphic art at age 6 while playing Kid Pix on that exact same machine; as a teen, watching Elle Woods purchase the iconic Tangerine iBook in Lawfully Blonde; and, simply recently, updating my mom to a vibrant brand-new iMac. Now I feel that exact same rush once again, unboxing the brand name’s most current launch: MacBook Neo.
