MVRDV, Diamond Schmitt Architects, and Two Row Architect are creating a 390,000-square-foot extension to the University of Toronto’s Medical Sciences Building.
The extension is called the Temerty Building and will host research and mentor areas for the Temerty Faculty of Medication and the Faculty of Arts & Science’s Department of Cell & Systems Biology. It will be gotten in touch with the existing Medical Sciences Building’s passages to facilitate seamless connectivity.
The new structure will change an existing wing of the Medical Sciences Structure finished in 1969. The goal is to replace the wing with a more flexible and modern one to better serve users.

Its lower floors form a crossroads for the broader university neighborhood and opens to the surrounding landscape for the very first time in 50 years.”
