The conventional thatched architecture of the Smokehouse of Poggensee, located in Germany, changes into a modern-day architectural sanctuary post restoration. The significant outside of the historical structure shows off a standard half-timbered frame and bricks. Its monochromatic palette mixes with the white walls, forming a visual focal point and linking the living-room and dining area.

The private wing on the ground level includes a comfortable bed room, a dressing room, and a restroom. The luxurious bathroom has a Portuguese limestone sink created by designer Hans Verstuyft, and Villeroy & Boch sanitary ware. A handcrafted, sculptural steel staircase results in the upper floor, where an open gallery ignores the living location and the corridor listed below. The dark-stained exposed beams on the upper flooring appear more pronounced. It features a second bed room, a bathroom with a freestanding ceramic basin, and a glass shower. The roomy attic can be used as a personal space or a studio if needed.
Outdoors, the seating locations form atmospheric retreats where citizens can renew under the open sky or beneath the shade of trees. The water lily pond and gentle streams even more enhance this tranquil environment. The heritage house features two contemporary outbuildings, particularly the Garden Structure and the Black Steel Greenhouse.

Designed as a wellness sanctuary, the Garden Structure, located at the edge of the home, houses a sauna and a fitness center.
