Nested within the layered folds of this mountain city, RICHAUS inserts itself as a modern geometric volume took part in a dialogue with nature, embedded into the large, complex terrain of Southwest China. Throughout the design procedure, Vari Architects constantly checked out how to create an interlaced condition in between architecture and nature, and among individuals– basically, a relationship and an interface– within the context of urban regeneration. Through a new architectural order, we intended to reinvest significance into an ignored office complex within the city fabric, changing it into a public cultural center that connects culture, community, industry, and commerce– consequently pointing towards a more open, abundant, and continually progressing recreation center.
