Casa Branca residence and studio unfolds within a single volume Casa Branca by NEBR arquitetura is conceived as a combined house and studio, developed from the intent to incorporate living and working within a single spatial structure. The task lies in the Zona da Mata region of Pernambuco, an area specified by a humid tropical environment and thick greenery related to the Atlantic Forest. The design responds to this ecological context while integrating recommendations to the cultural landscape of Northeast Brazil.

The project originates from the existence of an existing tree on the site, which becomes a main arranging component. The architecture is arranged around this feature, developing a relationship in between constructed kind and natural conditions. Your home embraces a compact, prismatic volume with restrained external expression, while internal areas are configured to enable continuity in between indoor and outside environments.

Product selection shows both local recommendations and building restraints. Making use of sleek cement flooring, particularly in blue tones, develops a continuous surface area throughout the interior. Walls with a more rustic surface, integrated with the integration of vegetation and local crafts, contribute to a layered spatial environment that connects contemporary style methods with local practices.

Direct involvement in the structure process notified choices associated to detailing, material application, and spatial organization. The project reflects NEBR arquitetura studio’s ongoing exploration of architectural strategies rooted in the conditions of Northeast Brazil.

The name Casa Branca emerged through common use, referencing the white exterior surfaces of the building. While the external facades present a constant and neutral look, the interior is identified by a more varied product and color palette, presenting contrast in between outer enclosure and internal spatial experience.

Spatially, the house runs through a balance of linear and curved geometries. The primary volume is defined by straight lines, while interior components present curvature to arrange blood circulation and hierarchy. This contrast contributes to a sequence of areas that emphasize movement and gradual transitions. The project engages with its local context by positioning architecture as a conciliator in between ecological conditions, product practices, and modern living patterns. Through its integration of natural components, controlled geometry, and material connection, Casa Branca provides a domestic design that lines up spatial design with climate, landscape, and everyday use.
