Home T by LANZA Atelier changes 2 adjacent, formerly compartmentalized homes into a combined house for a young artist and producer couple. The project retains the original 50-centimeter height distinction in between the structures, utilizing it as a specifying spatial function rather than eliminating it. A main exposed concrete staircase connects the volumes throughout four levels, while a big dome above introduces natural light deep into the interiors. This vertical core functions as both blood circulation and a light well, boosting spatial connection. The design also integrates an interior patio area that links all levels and motivates open-air living. A restrained combination of wood, marble, and painted steel merges the interiors, developing a cohesive and contemporary domestic environment.
The task approaches renovation as an act of reinterpretation instead of replacement, allowing the existing conditions to assist the architectural method. Instead of homogenizing the two structures, LANZA Atelier stresses their distinctions, particularly the level variation, which becomes an arranging principle. The four-section staircase negotiates this shift with accuracy, developing a rhythmic series of movement that redefines how your home is experienced.

Covered by a big dome, it serves as a lightbox that disperses daylight across all levels, transforming formerly dark interiors into luminous, interconnected spaces. Its relationship with the interior patio area even more reinforces
a sense of openness, producing visual and physical links between floors while introducing natural ventilation and an

Wood partitions and doors supply heat and coherence, while marble surface areas articulate crucial practical locations such as kitchens and bathrooms. Painted steel window frames include a subtle industrial character, and continuous flooring improves the perception of fluidity throughout your house. Together, these aspects develop a balanced dialogue in between the existing structures and their modern transformation.
