There’s still time before a brand-new season of The Searching Other halves drops– but its star, Malin Akerman is currently ushering in a new chapter. The Swedish-Canadian star and her partner, English actor Jack Donnelly, are bidding goodbye to California, noting their household home for $3 million. Malin Akerman, who plays Margo Banks in the hit Netflix adaptation, initially purchased the property in Los Angeles’s Los Feliz Oaks area in 2008, however she had already been residing in the home as an occupant for three years before that. “I instantly fell for the home when I saw it,” remembers Akerman. “The view is actually what got me! I have actually been living there for 21 years now, but it’s time for me and the family to start a brand-new chapter on the East Coast.”
Throughout the past two decades, Akerman left her mark on the home. “There were some things that required upgrading when I moved in, but I had been residing in a one bed room apartment or condo; so relocating to a three bedroom home was truly life altering,” she remembers. “With every job I scheduled, I ‘d put away a little nest egg so I could eventually make changes. I constantly dreamed of having a swimming pool and hot tub. A few of the restorations we did consist of a custom kitchen area, including a pool to the lawn, constructing a studio above the garage, broadening the living-room, and turning the lower level into a primary suite. For many years, I gradually remodelled to make it truly feel like home. “

So it’s influenced by his Provençal design combined with Moroccan influences,” she stated. “I love to mix a little bit of everything, from antique to contemporary to Moroccan– I mean, that sounds crazy. But it all has a rhyme and reason to it.”
